I am a little confused here! This CTMotorsports that I hear so much about..... I dont get it. I hear that they cater to Camry's but I have yet to see what they carry that makes them so different from Pep Boys or any of the other part stores that carry or can get intakes, exhaust, lights and other tuner add ons! I guess what I am getting at is usually when someone caters to something they have a vast amount of supplies for a specific thing. I was expecting a Ferrari and got a pinto. I wanted to see pistons valves turbo kits computer upgrades that kind of stuff. I know this is a Camry but sheesh cater nah just have some bolt ons for your Camry would do it justice. If there is someone who "Caters" to the Camry let me know.

Sean, the owner is a long time forum member (soundlzrd) as well as a long time friend to many of us.
CTM is working on Camry specific parts (gen3 projecters, clear lenses, etc...), he was the first to import Whiteline parts besids Mofugas who has since dropped Whiteline and he has personally rallyed and pushed for companies to produce Camry parts (i.e. AEM CAI, etc...)
He doesn't have to carry anything above and beyond. He has done enough for the Camry comunity that we use and support him out of respect and friendship.

He has catered to my every Camry need so far and I have no problem with what he sells, not to mention what he is going to sell in the future. So before you start knocking CTMotorsports......ask around before you start dising someone's business.

Well first off I wasnt "dissing" anyone I was simply stating that everyone refers me to this CTM but i have not seen anything that I dont see at my local parts store! I wanna see parts "Catered" to the Camry like Signal to the 240, Mugen to the Civic, or Stillen to the Z cars. No offense to the founder of CTM I just wanna find internals and more hp parts rather than just bolt on stuff. Sorry if I offended you guys I was just wanting to find the next step.

CTM is a store, not a trademark or brand name. Besides, Mugen doesn't cater to just Civics, it's a Honda brand. Same thing with Stillen, they cater to Nissan...not just the Z car. I don't think ANY company out there caters to just a specific car...how the hell would they make any money? Remember, Toyota has TRD. But yeah, us Camry owners need aftermarket stuff big time!
Besides, I don't see how anyone could sustain a full-time business just selling aftermarket performance Camry parts. What Sean is doing is just perfect.

Man.. if you don't support those people who are trying to bring us parts, then you are never gonna get anything made.. all you gotta do is show him some support and wait to see what happens... and I know Sean is working to make some kick ass parts for us Camry owners..
Its all goo then you guys stand behind this CTM so there must be more than what I see on the site I will give this CTM a chance!
Silver Streak you need to do more research on Stillen and Mugen, Stillen was started by Steve Millen a 300ZX race winner who branched out to other Nissan and Infinity cars and is now taken on others like Honda Mitsubishi and Toyota but "Caters" to the 300ZX. Mugen same thing a Japanese racing company started out for Civics and moved to other cars but again "Caters" to Civic.

LEKS, to answer your question of why to shop with me over one of your local shops is simple, help support Camry’s. Sure right now all I carry are bolt-on's but what’s to say there is nothing coming. Actually there are a few larger projects that I am working on. I have learned not to let everyone know of the projects to close to the beginning or they begin to think they are not happening. In fact, many projects are not an over night thing, especially when the market is so small, at the moment. To get more parts, do two simple things 1) shop with us and 2) tell every Camry owner you know to shop with us and more will come. The more money we have coming in the more we can spend on R&D, right now were are doing enough to stay afloat, the companies I am working with are spending there own money on R&D and risking there shirt, what more can you ask for? I have not pocketed a dime from CT Motorsport, everything is being reinvested to get everyone more choices and more parts.
Once again, a big thanks to everyone who supports me and the community.

Regardless, there are no real parts available other than bolt ons for the camry (hell, when I started with this car there wasn't even bolt ons, everything was custom or DIY) ... the hope is that if we all continue support each other and push for parts to be made we will achieve what your asking for. As of now we have forum members doing everything from promotion at shows (SC3 show team and TN at DKN) to original PS mock ups to CAD designs and thermoformed plastic prototypes for all sorts of parts and no real money to back it all up, just a desire and a vision. Sean and everyone else connected with CTM... WE ALL... are our means of producing these parts.
...I strongly believe this is what makes TN so great and what keeps our comunity as tightly knit as it is.

Ahhhh...you're right...my bad...I've been schooled! :o The only thing I knew about Mugen was from 10 years ago...

If you really ARE looking for the next step then stop checking the forums and call a place like Toyomoto oh but im sure you already knew of them right? You knew they turbo N/A toy/lex engines all along..and why u taking the easy way out? If you wanna improve engine performance then do what Tony did and build an ENTIRE CUSTOM setup on your own. Woops I forgot if you had searched the forums you would have found out about a place called RIPP motorsports who does custom superchargers for camry's or oh what Shiftgate who is working on a full bolt on turbo kit??? Oh and last but not least someone doing accessories to improve the look CTM oh but u knew all this sorry.

LEKS if you want shit like mugen you should of got a damn civic but you didnt dont cry becouse you cant just go out and buy the shit you want.most people really thinks camrys aren't worth there time.show some respect for the ones who do.
i don't see why you guys are giving him such a hard time...
i was just like him...the first time i heard/saw ctm, i thought it was supposed to be like a camry heaven, but it wasn't...i realize it's going to grow as long as we show support, which i do...he's just voicing his surprise since he thought it was going to be a lot more than what he saw...
he's not dissing the place or saying that it'll never amount to anything, he just stated that a lot of people he talked to made it out to be more than what it was (in his opinion)
Ikon, he never stated that he had been looking for the "next ste'" for a long time now...and from him asking around, he has been pointed to ctm...obviously the people he talked to didn't know about the places you mentioned in your post or else they would have told him...you don't have to criticize him with such a tone, just point him towards those places and leave the attitude before you type it on the keyboard...we're asking him to show love towards ctm so that we as a community can benefit...and he's coming to this community asking for help (and express his own opinion that some of us disagree with) so give it to him if you want or just don't post...we should just help everyone without being mean about it...
and warlock, he does respect camry's and ctm...he never stated that he didn't...he just merely stated that he expected more than what he got, which is how life is...and i bet if we all did cry cause we can't get our stuff off the shelf that maybe a company would listen to us and we'll start getting those parts (which is sort of what ctm is doing for us)...
i think soundlzrd's post stated a lot about ctm and what to expect from it in the future, are at least enough so that it should calm leks down for now...if not, pm's would probably be better than starting a flame war on this board...
all of this is my opinion of course so i could always be wrong...i just think the petty bickering should stop
