Here's the deal all I got a body kit for my 1989 Camry Gen 2 of course and i thought swag ill gett it take off the bumper and slap on the new shit and bang we good to go the kit arrives and here is the content of the box i kid you not.

Contents:

1 Bumper addition not replacement for the front bumper (Air dam)
1 Addition for the rear bumper (Rear Apron)
2 Side skirts
........... THAT WAS IT NO INSTRUCTIONS NO RECOMMENDED WAY TO APPPLY THE KIT AND HERE COMES THE BEST PART. AS far as me and my friends can figure out and I haven't taken it to a body shop yet cause I am way in over my head now but as far as we can determine you attach the kit using...............2 SIDED AUTOMOTIVE TAPE..............I wish I was bullshittinng you guys but im not seriously guys I have no clue what the fuck im gonna do now as for erebuni if you order from them check if its a bumper replacement. if anyone has any ideas on a better way to attach these things im seriously all ears my friend whos been doing this shit his whole life nearly shit himself when we pulled it out of the box..........so i'm not sure but yeah any help here would be hot. Here's a link to a guy who has the same kit and what it looks like but i have no idea how he attached it. http://www.cardomain.com/member_page...page_id=200491

You have to look at their products carefully. The product codes or whatever they are indicate whether or not they are a bumper replacement or just attach to your bumper.

Sorry you feel kinda duped by them

You make your own holes and screw them on. Then you can mold it to be or look like its a whole bumper if you like.
When I looked at the kit, I knew it was just a lip and not a bumper replacement. Also, when you buy products on the net, you can't really make assumptions. Ask questions. They should be more than willing to answer all of them. A bodyshop will know exactly what to do. They're just gonna probably screw it on as well. Don't use tape to put the bumper on. You don't want it flying off while driving you do you?
I'm sorry to hear your disappointment. Let us know then end results though.

If you look at the pics on that guys cardomain page you can see that it is only an air dam. I guess that the double sided tape is the way to go but man, I would be scared to just "stick" something like that to my car. Is it sturdy at high speeds? Also if I saw one like that on the road parked somewhere and I really wanted it then it wouldn't be too hard to just yank off.

my lip kit came with no instructions....srew them onto the bumper (underneath...you want this to look clean) and then put carpet tape (its thinner and stickier) on the back of the lips and on the bumper...first clean with rubbing alcohol to get all dirt and wax off....itll be secured with the bumper and the tape will make it look as flush as possible

Hey, that's my car! But anyway, for Clarification: MY KIT IS NOT AN EREBUNI. IT IS GENUINE WINGS WEST. As for installation:

1. Do not drill holes and screw the kit on then putty over it. The putty busts out. The best thing to do if you plan on taking that route is fiberglass, but it will eventually break also.

2. Since I do body work myself I let you in on a little secret. It's called PANEL BOND. Automakers attach your panels using this instead of welding. It is nearly indestrucable.

3. Mount the kit by welding light braces from the bottom of the air damn to the chassis and use panel bond to mold it into the bumper. You may even want to cut the lower part of your factory bumper cover off.

Good Luck b/c the Erebuni kit does not line up well. Take it from me: Wings West is the best aftermarket kit you can buy and that's not saying much since most of them don't fit well to begin with.

thanks for the compliment. I try my best.

mine is a 4 door. toyota made 2 door camrys from 92-94, thats the gen 3 model. They arent wide body, but the body design for the gen 3 sorta looks pretty wide, if its lowered to the ground like mine. Thats why i got the gen 3 camry out of any car i wanted when i was 17. I pretty much had the choice of any used car with reasonable miles and less than like 9 grand. So my parents ended up buying me the camry for 10 grand after taxes and stuff from a dealer. bad decision getting it from a dealer though...
Also, if i knew then what i know now about cars, i would have gotten the lexus sc300. so much potential... but i love my camry, and next summer when i get my engine in and turboed it will beat out any camry and most hondas and acuras. Im hoping for 400 WHP by the end of the summer next year, and ill definitely have at least 325.

Enlighten me on this Panel Bond. My brothers a body man, he never heard of it. Closes thing I know of is that bondo stuff ignorant people use then just paint right over it before primering it first. I figure there must be different kinds of bondo though. Since my brother asked me what kind when I asked him about it. Educate me if you will.
Also though, sounds like it'll make the body kit a permenant thing. I think I'd stick with screwing a kit on. That is what most bodyshops do if I'm not mistaken. But then I'd take anything over double taping a kit on.

I believe they had the coupes for all years from 92-96 didnt they? I know for sure they had them for 92-95 but not sure about 96's. Just wanted to clarify that.
