Buying Dilemma??? 2003 Camry XLE or 2005 Camry LE

Hi Guys,
I am trying to decide between 2 cars here.

2003 camry XLE with 36000 miles (2 owners) (1 accident when owned by 1 st owner) - asking 12500/-
2005 camry LE with 15000 miles (1 owner) (clean carfax) - asking 15000

Which one should I go for? I am having a tough time deciding between the 2.

The XLE does not have alloy wheels or sunroof but does have premium audio and dual zone climate control.

The LE has regular audio and no extras.

Also both cars are well maintained. Should I save the 2500/- and go for the 2003?

I intend to drive the car for as long as it drives.

Please help decide.

Thanks,
Bhavin

Yeah, I drove both the cars and both drive fine and yes they are both 4 cylinder.

I am leaning towards the 2005 as well. Was just wondering if the 2005 5 speed auto has the same hesitation issues as the 2007. I drove my buddy's 2007 and did not like the feel when starting from a red light.

Any ideas...

the hesistation is something you just have to get used to. it is the drive by wire system. i too thought it felt weird at first but you just have to get used to driving with the DBW system.

I would go with the '05 as well.

I have an '06 (same car) and have never had any hesitation or transmission problems.

The 2005 sounds good, but if you really think about it, for $3K more or so (maybe even less), you can buy a brand new '08 Camry with no miles.

Gen5

for like $2500 more or so, you could probably get a loaded gen 5 XLE V6...

The lowest price around here for a 2008 Camry LE would be about 20K OTD, that would be stretching my payments by a good margin...

I think I will be happy with the LE although it may not have the goodies of the XLE...

Thanks guys, help decide. 2005 LE, here I come...

I would WAIT say go for a v6.... (even better an SE V6)

I have a 2002 XLE I-4 and previously drove a 96 Taurus GL (6 cyl only 144 odd hp) but boy the torque at under 3 K rmp was much better so was the downshift etc... even at 145 K miles....
