14" tire suggestions

OK guys the 17"s are basically sold, just waiting on the guy. I am riding on my stock 14" steelies now and need new tires. I have a few questions.

1. I have stock 185-70-14 tires now instead of my 205-40-z17 but I have intrax springs, kyb gr-2 struts, and a front strut tower bar. Should I go down to maybe a 60 series and wider to a 195 or 205 tire?

2. I have my choice of 185, 195, or 205 and 70, 65, or 60 all for $50 usd a piece mounted and balanced. The tires are called Aurora's or something and read 340 treadware with B temperature and B traction. Does that sound good?

3. What tires do you guys recommend anyway?

Thanks to everyone helping me out.

Re: 14" tire suggestions

B traction, B temperature and 340 threadwear does not sound very good to me, even for $50 each... If you need to stay under $200 for the set, you probably can't get much better though.

I'd look for A, A, 400+ ratings at least. Check Kumho, Continental and a couple of other brands that have decent tires for not too much money. Go to Tirerack.com and research.

i was running yokohama 195/60/14 before and it was about as good as 14's get i think i forget which model yokos they were but they were one level below the es300's and were pretty cheap i think about69 apiece(im in hawaii so you can probably get them for about 60)

OK I went to a shop that I have been to a few times and checked out their stuff. I am going to get a set of 195/60/ r14 Wynstar's, supposedly they are made by Michellin. All I care about is that they are 400 A A and that's what I need. They are good tires because I remembered I had bought a set for my old Prelude a few years ago and they were great. Oh yeah and everything is still going to be only $200!
