tires

*On the rear i have 2 kUhMo Supra 712 215/45/zr17's and they are worn pretty bad.
*On the front i have 2 kUhMo Supra 712 215/40/zr17's and they are in good shape.
*I plan to lower my car with some intrax or Eibachs (i don't know if that makes a difference)
My question is what tires should i purchace the 215/45/zr17's? or the 215/40/zr17's? Someone please help me spend my money

go into a few tire shops and talk to the guys, they'll make some reccomendatinos, probably your best bet

also somewhere there's a tire feedback thread, might want to have a look at that

I have 17X7.5 wheels and went with 215/45R17's. 225 would be good too but I went with 215 because they were more available for cheap.

Try this tire calculator or do a google search on others. They are all pretty much the same.

after you've read tirerack and understand the concept of Plus Sizing...again I repeat, AFTER you've read tirerack proceed to read below...

Now that you understand the concept behind plus sizing and the fact that it works based ont he premise that your replacment tire should be as close as possible to the same diameter as your stock tire, use this handy tool to digure out which of the two sizes you were considering meets that goal.

If you didn't read tirerack, you should be ashamed of yourself. If you did read it, good for you

edit: looks like evo beat me to it
