when do I need Fuel Injection Cleaning?? My camry has 110K miles

when do I need Fuel Injection Cleaning??

My camry has 110K miles and I saw a local pepboys will do a fuel injection cleaning for $69.

Should I do? What is it involved? What is the difference between that and those off-the-shelve fuel injector thingy that you pour into the gas tank???

Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks.

There is a a big difference between the off the shelf stuff and a professional cleaning. If you have never had your injectors cleaned I would have your Toyota dealer (not Pep Boys) do a complete fuel injection cleaning. I'm sure your fuel filter needs to be replaced, too. Once that is done you can use the fuel injector cleaner stuff from the local autoparts store to keep your injectors clean. I use it every 4000 - 6000 miles.

Should I get fuel filter replaced first or get fuel injection cleaned first????

I know a local mechanic that will change the fuel filter for me for $30 labor if I provide the parts.

agreed. do everything at once. its kind of like replacing only one contact lens. with anything do everything at once. you might also want to check out ur timing belt too if that hasnt been done in a while.
