Question Name that intercooler!

I was wondering what type of front mounts are being used on your own Camry? I am looking into purchasing one, but don't really want to go with a custom make.

i've just bought a stock lancer gsr intercooler, smallish (core size bout 25x15cm), but thick (7.5cm) and its a nice shape and should fit behind by bumper nicely (Gen 2). GTR interccolers are a nice big size (60x30cm), but are not cheap like my little one, and would require modification to the front bar i'm pretty sure.

Thanks for the reply crazy_camry. I have a 3rd Gen and have thought about a stock EVO intercooler, but have no idea what the specs are or how much they cost.

You can take a look at Tony The Tiger's eset up for ideas

"Front Bumper had to be slightly trimmed to fit the 6" x 20" x 3.5" front-mount intercooler. The hood latch reinforcement rod was also modified to clear the intercooler."

those hybrid i'c are pretty popular down here, got a feeling they're made here, cheap too.

Da_horse, turbo project going slow, got the intercooler in the post in the morning, spent all day at school trying to straighten the fins, then spent a few hours polishing it. came up nice, but still need to finish polishing it, plus a petrol bath (which i should have done beforehand).

so now i got turbo (that needs rebuilding, at least $500), manifold, and intercooler.

There is no real kind of front mounts being used on camrys, mostly because there's like 7 turbo'd camrys. There's no room on our damn cars for an intercooler(especially on a gen2). I was always looking for a good side mount.

my little i/c should fit nicely in the bumper, the piping will be the problem.

Do a search and find out how many there really are.

Can you rephrase your post above? I find it hard to grasp your idea when you said there are no real front mounts being used on Camry's? But didn't we already see at least 2 Camry's with a front mount intercooler? (Wraith and my Camry to say at least)
