Camry & Solara LoungeDiscussion area for every generation of Toyota's family car, the Toyota Camry. Lexus ES250/300 owners welcome! Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance and more.
I decided to start this thread so I could let you guys see whats been going on with my Camry, and what is still "in the works." Hope you enjoy the pictures... I will keep updating this thread as I make changes to my Camry.
If you have any questions/comments please feel free to leave 'em here.
Thanks!
BTW. The only reason the ugly looking mesh is chillin' zip-tie-style in my 'grille-area' is because I am in the middle of working on my "custom grille/mesh set-up" still. I'll post pictures of that also when I finish.
Here is the ENTIRE ALBUM of my newer Camry Pictures... (keep in mind all minor dings/scratches on my Camry shall be fixed when I bondo up the holes left by the dealers-plate.)
Yep its my new O/D switch... it took me forever to wire properly... it has a nice and small Blue L.E.D. when it is activated... and almost looks sorta' OEM, in my opinion. It came out good good besides the fact that I had to fab. a piece of tan/brown plastic for the black rubber piece that surrounds the tubing of the shifter, so that the orange "selection" piece would properly align with the cooresponding "shifter position." That is confusing as hell to explain, but yeah. At least it is REAL CARBON FIBER! I thought it was just gonna be that sticker-shit, but it really is a thin piece of carbon fiber!
Anyways... check out the imagestation album at the top of this thread if you wanna see em all at mad resolution.
All pics taken with my wonderful D30 - 5.0 Mega-Pixel SLR!

hey, just curious, how do u remove the dark piece that contains the PRND2L letters surrounding the shifter? do u need to take out the center console first?

1. Pop off the brown trim (in my case) that surrounds the black plastic-shifter area with the PRND2L. A flathead screwdriver on the bottom part will do the trick.
2. There will be 3 or so little clips that the black bezel piece is attached by. Pull out, lift up... un-screw the two screws on the left side of the stock shifter if you want to fully take it out of the console area... other wise you can just leave it sitting there if you just want to clean around/under it.
Any other questions lemme know and I'll try my best to help ya out!
dude.. in my opinion.. since you are saving up for rims ( assuming ) put the caps back on .. i'm not digging the steelies look.. looks weird !!.. well thats my opinion..
