question about something from the camry faq

in the section that tells you how to modify a 9005 bulb to fit the 9006 socket, one of the steps says this:

2. Remove the two guides inside the socket.

is this referring to the shroud inside the headlamp assembly that's screwed in from inside and kinda blocks light from the tip of the bulb?

also, at the end there's an FYI warning against modifying the harness, in what way were people modifying their harness?

for the bulb question, its referring to the actual plastic guides that are inside the socket of the 9005 bulbs that prevent them from being put into the 9006 harnesses.....

and not sure about the harness part....read it a long time ago....but probably referring to not modifying the harness, and modifying the bulbs that you use instead

doh, that means i gotta take the headlamps out to get a good look first...oy, i just had new headlamps installed a week ago. thanks
