USA 2008 Camry SE TRD Edition

I am new in this forum. I am currently living in Las Vegas, NV. I am a happy owner of Scion tC 2006. I just got married and 2 Dr. is no longer an option for my wife and I.

I am looking into the new 2008 Camry SE TRD edition. It is a Camry SE with a lot of TRD sign in the car, including TRD Symbol on the leather seats and TRD Wheels. The MSRP for those cars were from $28.5K to $32K.

I am wondering if anybody had driven 2007 SE before and what is the difference between the SE V6 and TRD SE V6? Is worth the extra $2K for those packages. How come I can not fine anything on Toyota's website?

Nissan use to have SE-R version of Altima V6 in 2006 and 2007.

Thank you very much.

I've never heard of it, sounds like it may be something that your dealer is doing. I'm guessing the only differences are some logos, different interior with TRD logos, the TRD rims, possibly TRD springs, and maybe a few other things. I don't believe there are any performance differences, although I could be wrong.

I think you are 99% correct. There are tones of TRD toys in the car. However, the car will not be supercharged.

You mean it was not backed by TOYOTA? I though Nissan has Nismo edition of Z350 as well.

Thank you for your response.

Thats sounds like a dealer installed pkg. We sell a Ltd Camry Its a LE with leather seats and wood grain and LTD badges which add 5whp. So if the options are worth it to you go for it.

does it come with navi? If it does, go for it… 28.5K for an SE V6 w/ navi is a good deal… or else don't.. You can buy all those badges and whatnot on ebay… save the 2K and get yourself a nice set of rims

Actually $28.5 K is a standard V6 SE with logo everywhere in cluding 4 TRD 18" rims and tires. No leather seats, no sunroof and no NAV. The $31K come with almost everything other than NAV. Our family purchased more than 6 Toyota from that dealer in 3 years so we have no problem to get a $30K OTD.

I am just wondering if there is a real value behind TRD special edition.

Also between TRD and SE, is TRD more performance oriented?

I would configure it yourself on the Toyota website and use your location to base the price, add up all the options and extras that are on the "TRD" SE edition, and see how much more it costs then what is listed on the Toyota site.

if TRD SE lives up to the name of TRD, then it should come with a TRD exhaust and a TRD filter

Not really for $28.5 k you get everything but the TRD rims. Most dealerships over charge for the TRD rims. You can get the TRD badges of Ebay.
