Alignment question.

How much should a 4 wheel alignment cost? And can anyone recomend any good shops in the bay area?

They run anywhere from $50 to $90. If you get another service from them like replacing struts you'll more likely to get the $50 charge. Anything above $70 is too much. Just make sure they don't have a rusted over alignment machine that hasn't be calibrated for 5 years itself.

I called around and got Five Point Tire in Redwood City to do mine for $112. These guys know what they're doing. They aligned my coilovers to exactly the spec I wanted (perfect 0 toe all around +/-0.01deg, -2/-2 camber up front). Custom Alignment in MountainView wanted to charge me $250, but apparently they work with really high end cars (which is a totally bogus reason to charge such an outrageous sum).

M&R automotive in Redwood City wanted to charge me $89, which was fair, but then they didn't have the proper equipment to align my car since I had rims (???), so I wouldn't recommend them.

You can always go to SEARS or Pep Boys to get an alignment for cheap.

Keep in mind that even if the printout says everything is aligned, it means diddly squat if their machines aren't calibrated regularly.

I do mine for $32. Keep in mind I live in Dubai, UAE.
I can also get it as cheap as $15. Also keep in mind its a full automatic 4 sensor alligment.

WTF? I have never, ever seen a 4-wheel alignment in this area for anything less than $90.

I guess it depends where you live. I live in Los Angeles, CA and it's between $50 to $90.

It costs between $60-$80 around here, it seems to be pretty standard across the country.
