Canada Manifold-valve question

My 1987 Camry sputters at stoplights, etc. I believe it has to do with the manifold-exhaust valves. Does the entire motor have to be taken apart to access the problem?

Can you give more info if you want a good answer? To give a quick answer to your quick question, clean the idle air control valve first before trying anything else.

You say it sputters at stoplights, i think you are saying it wont idle right sometimes/intermittently? if this is the only symptom, i'd also suspect dirty fuel injectors or a fuel filter that needs replacing -

Thank you for your suggestion. I will buy a fuel filter. If it turns out that I need a fuel injector change, will I need all four? And can I, an 60ish lady, replace them myself?
