E53 transmission (Anyone interrested)

Hi.. I've seen in a previous post that some people are interrested by buying a E53 transmission.. (fits 3vzfe/1mzfe engines)

A friend of me can get a E53 for 500$

I'm not 100% sure if the transmission work but I presume it is..

If anyone is interrested, I'll take the best offer

I'm at montreal, ~6 hours driving from Toronto

I'll try to get it ASAP.. Maybe there will be a 1 week delay cause I don't see the guy often

Well, i guess i would be one of those folks that would be interested in your friend's transmission but i would need to know that it works for sure before dropping $500 on it. No point in coughing up $500 for a tranny, plus money for the install if you find out that it doesn't work to begin with.

Currently, my transmission is out of my car (I tough I had a problem with it and I removed it to realise it was the shifter links *moron*)

If you tell me that you take it 100% sure, I'll try to get it for next week and will install it on my car to see if it's working well

The only one I found was in Nova Scotia and was 750$ (scrap yard).. 500$ is a very good price I think..

Let me know if you take it.. if so, I'll try to reach the guy and I'll try it on my car first.. if it's not working, I may be able to return it back.

Note that the price are in canadian dollars

that same problem happened to me, the front to back shifter linkage went totally bad. i had to replace it because it broke on me when i was in 4th gear- and had to drive it to the dealer in 4th alone.

as soon as i got that replaced, the transmission feels like it should. right now im looking into doing quite a few conversions on my car. one of them being an e153 tranny, with solara shifter assembly/TRD shifter.

That trans was hard to take out me and Mox never seen such a fun yard project.The e153 tranny is way better then e53 so much smoother and stronger.But the price of one of those is 750$ US around..
