Exhaust and Intake options

for a 3vz-fe v6 what intake should i get, and also i'm looking for a catback system, but i'm not exactly sure what the cat back is exactly, i know its new piping (wider) and muffler and exhaust tip, but does it completely get rid of the CAT or just start ther?

how thick should the piping be for the v6 3vz?

if the cat is supposed to stay, which i think so, is ther a high flow cat i can put in its place to help with air flow?

and what muffler/exhaust do you guys recommend?

Cat back start at the cat and goes from there on. Hence the name "Cat-back". Intake and exaust choises are really a preference to the owner. And as for diameter, on a stock engine, V6, I would not go larger than 2.75" because a naturally aspirated engine needs some backpressure.

I've gone for a 2 1/4" cat back on my auto v6 camry and its going good. I also have a replacement K and N pannel filter and that evens out the loss of bottom end which I've experienced after getting the car back

I was told to go no bigger than 2 1/4" for a cat back otherwise I'd lose heaps of bottom end.

It would also depend on your transmission type. You can go a little bigger to about 2.5" if its a manual, but auto I wouldn't recommend anything better than 2.25"
