OK here's the Lo-Down(pt. 1), I have money, but not enough to spend on a $3000 S/C unless i save to the end of this year, but I was talking with the owner of a speedshop around here and he said that an 88 Celica GTS turbo will fit into my car, is this true?(i dont know sh** about turbos).

Lo-Down(pt. 2), i know this sounds crazy and maybe far-fetched but if i were to transplant another engine into my car,(rear trunk area, like the guy in the Super Street Car Challenge with his tibby which was outrageous) which engine would seem more ideal: Camry, Celica, or something on the lines of Supra(late 80's).

Good luck trying to turbocharge a 1MZ-FE. Your talking custom turbo manifolds along with a bunch of other things.

You'd have better luck turbocharging a 5S-FE as the manifold and turbo (Toyota CT-26) from a 3S-GTE will bolt right on.

The turbo manifold from a 91 - 95 MR2 Turbo bolts right onto a 5S-FE and 3S-FE. I'm not sure about the manifold from a Celica All-Trac Turbo though. I don't know if the manifolds are different or not.

hmm... I dont see why you wouldnt be able to turbo the 1MZFE. i mean, running a reasonable sized turbo and a reasonable amount of boost (4-6 lbs). yes, it would have to be custom of course but i know of a handful of shops here in the GTA that do custom turbo manifolds. now assuming that is made, and there is sufficient space for the turbo itself and a small intercooler and piping, i think its a very do-able thing. an air/fuel controller would be a good idea to get too, but i dont think fuel system upgrades would be necessary for such a humble turbo setup.

if i were to do such a thing, id probably take a trip down to Yoshio and get him to take a look.

latez.

I would say its best to use the same engine you have up front at the rear. Since both engines would probably be running independent from each other (well, the only thing they are connected together by would be throttle cable and A/T transmission computer) you would likely get lots of understeer (but balanced)...if you have a friend with a 4Runner or RAV4, drive it in the rain hard with the center diff disengaged (locked) and you'll get the idea. Now, put a more powerful engine at back would produce a wicked drift car. I don't know what would happen if you were to put a dinky engine at the back...I guess it would be like driving a CR-V, with it's fake "Real-Time" AWD system- it would drive like a normal front drive car with FWD's inherent understeer.
So, unless you have a supercomputer that manipulates the engines to allow the front and rear wheels to turn at different speeds (Suzuki Escudo Pikes Peak has one), it's best to go with the same engine at the back as up front.

Unless you only want to go straight, then the biggest engine you can find will do.

Do you mean the 3S-GTE engine from the 88 Celica Turbo? I don't think that's a GTS... that would be a GT4? Maybe?

If you already have the 1MZ-FE engine it would be better to save up for the supercharger.

Don't even think about putting an engine in your trunk or whatever crazy idea you see in rice heaven, because if $3000 is a stretch for you, that idea will cost you a hell of a lot for you to even fathom.

Turbo on 1MZ-FE is possible. But I am sure that will cost you more than the supercharger too.

What year is your car?

Actually 1MZ-FE starts in 1994 and goes all the way to present.

As for your 3VZ-FE Darryl from TTCC is on a mission to supercharge his engine with the TRD supercharger. Maybe you should give him a shout.
