Exclamation Canadian Camry's not built in the U.S.

Just found out from a Toyota Canada rep today when asking her about specific product information that all Canadian 4 & 6 cylinder Camry sedan models since 2002 (Gen 5) are built in Japan, not in the U.S. She couldn't give me a straight answer as to why, but just thought it was an intresting tidbit of information for our Canadian Camry members. Not sure if that's a good thing or not....guess it can't be bad eh?
Any thoughts from members?

i always like a car that was built in Japan, gives you that extra bit of confidence that your car should last longer, without any MAJOR problems, the reason i think this way is because my family has had experiences with both American and Japanese assembled cars.
this was based on my dads (Japanese assembled) 1985 maxima, 1992 stanza, and my sisters (American assembled) 1996 altima.
and the Japanese assembled cars have held up much much better than the American assembled.
now dont get me wrong some American assembled cars do have very good quality, like my Camry

sorry for the long post.

You won't see any reall differences until you get down to the tiniest nuts and bolts between the mid year changes.

My japanese assembly camry had some qualtiy issues. its fixxed now but yea I prefer Japan assembly.

But it really shouldn't matter, the engine comes assembled i think and the interior just snaps in place.
