3rd Generation Problem Installing Depo Headlight

I recently got some clear DEPO headlights for my 92 Camry. I found the thread that shows how to install Gen3 headlights. I got the old headlights out fine with no problems, but when I went to install the DEPO's I encountered a problem. The places where the screws were supposed to go were not lined up properly, as seen in the pictures.

Screw by the corner light:

Screws by the grille:

I tried loosening and tightening the large screw behind the headlights and the skinny one on top of the headlights by the corner light, but nothing changed. I'm thinking about paying someone to install it for me because I spent 2 hours trying to figure it out and I don't want to deal with it anymore. If you guys have any suggestions as to what I can do that would be awesome. Thanks.

^ If it were that simple then I wouldn't be asking for help. Believe me I tried it. If I push it to for a screw to fit in one hole the other holes become blocked. Maybe I'll try it with two people next to to make sure there is space enough for each screw.

Anyone have any other suggestions?

Thanks

Eh.... have you ever had a front end collision of any sort that could cause something to be bend a little out of place?

You could take the mounting part off and use the one from the original light... I think it unbolts easy...

Well I hit a deer. That's why I'm replacing my headlights. The only real front end damage was to the headlights which shattered and the driver's side fender. My bumper and everything else in front of the car is good, except for the headlight like I mentioned. I will try to install the passenger headlight first, which there was no damage at all, and see if the DEPO's fit in easy. If not then I guess I'll take it to somebody to do it for me or send it back and get newer ones.

Anyone else have suggestions?

Take a dremel or a drill and stretch or make new holes in the mounting brackets. It's plastic so it shouldn't be too hard to cut away even with a drill bit.

no....seriously....just use some force and it'll go in....I have/had them too until I took them off to start my retrofit....

or just do what darkmastyr said and widen the holes a bit....but becareful because that will also weaken the mounting points and it may snap

Well, I wasn't able to get the screw in by the fender but I was able to get the 2 by the grille. The DEPO corner light I got wouldn't fit so I had to use my plastic bag covered stock corner light. I went to a body shop and they said that since I hit the deer not everything is aligned right and that's why its not fitting 100%. Once I get it fixed I'm sure the light will go in place properly.

Thanks to all.
