Electric Window Lubricant?

I have an '01 Camry LE and just wondered whether someone could suggest a good lubricant for the [electric] windows. I've been to AutoZone and Discount Auto; and they don't seem to know what I'm talking about [?], but I know there is such a thing.

Thanks for your help.

Talking about spray silicone (by liquid wrench and others) for the rubber? This helps prevent the glass from sticking to it and causing a motor overload. Use white lithium on the hinges and latch mechanisms and graphite or lock grease in the lock.

I would recommend Jig-A-Loo for the rubber window tracks. It gets REALLY, REALLY COLD where I live and this stuff keeps the windows from binding. No oily residue, and not petroleum-based so it won't degrade the rubber. I've been using it for five years with no problems...

I saw that (jig a loo) as well. Couldn't tell if it's silicone spray or not. Looks like it may just be a brand name but I couldn't find what's in it. (Maybe my eyes are too bad)

Where did you see this jig a loo?

As a side note to the original poster, I first use WD-40 in the tracks, (with the straw provided), more as a cleaning agent than a lubricant. WD-40 is safe for rubber according to the WD-40 website. I have also been using it for years on my cv joint boots to keep them from drying out. I then follow up with white lithium grease to keep the tracks lubricated. White lithium grease does not wash away easily when it rains.

Saw it Pep Boys (an auto parts store) and wallyworld. Think the can was orange. It showed much the same uses as silicone. BTW, I also do the door seals.

The other people sure have a lot of window lube tips, my only 2 cents is, dont forget to roll the windows all the way down and lube inside the seal (the one the window rubs against). dont roll those windows up for a couple hours or it will streak theglass, and stink inside the car too much.

You can also try adjusting the window regulator. The 2 bolts that hold it to the door panel should be slotted to allow some free play. A lot of times just by loosing up the bolts then retightening them will do the trick....
