Anyone wanna make a step by step 3sfe turbo install?
Seems to me that there are a lot of people on here asking all sorts of questions about turbo-ing a 3sfe, me being one of em. Just wondering if anyone had the time/patience who has/knows how to make a good 3sfe turbo, with install and all, and possibly all u need to do to the engine to make it ready, which parts need to be replaced. I know a lil, but it wud help out me and all other kinda Gen 2 guys who wanna a lil bit more out of their grocery getter.
Now, there maybe somewhere where this exists, but if there is, I havent come across it yet in the search, on here or on the web. Anyone up for the challenge? I'm SURE it would be greatly appreciated...

The basics are the same. Turbo, turbo manifold, piping, oil lines, etc..
The 1MZ-FE is not easy to turbo as a 3S-FE or 5S-FE because you need to come up with something for the turbo manifold, whereas with a 3S-FE or 5S-FE you can use a stock 3S-GTE manifold.
djprefix: You dont have an intercooler? A friend of mines got a Eagle Talon TSI AWD Turbo, and he said it aint even worth it to turbo something without an intercooler.

A intercooler is not necessary when you run low boost cos the air from the turbo is not that hot.

Nope, I was planning on installing a water injection system with a huge water tank in the trunk, maybe like 5 gallons. Keep it that hardcore sleeper.
put the water tank low and to the front, like make a custom one and mount it in the bumber, it will help your traction more since its a fwd car, you could still use an intercooler too if you mounted it in the inner fenders

Hah, I wouldn't put a 5 gallon tank of anything in my bumper. If I spilled it on the track I'd be thrown out of the race track and probably lose traction. Trunk is the place to put tanks for a reason.
