1998 Camry Missing Steering Wheel Airbag

I recently purchased a used 1998 toyota camry with a missing steering wheel airbag. I have replaced it with an aftermart one, but the airbag indicator light is still on and the driver side seat belt is sort of jammed. Any idea of what can go wrong if the light remains on and does anyone know what i can do to fix this problem properly?
Much Regards,
Second Toyota

Depending on the state you are in the seat restraints are warranteed for a really long time. My dealer has had to replace both rear seat belts that I used the kids seats in as KS has a 10 year warranty requirement on those.

wait...what exactly is an aftermarket airbag?

and if there is nothing wrong with the airbag and it has just been put back in and hooked up, you still have to reset the SRS system.
