A very sad story
So as most of you know I headed to nopi last week and if any of you watched the news know what I had to deal with. So I headed out from ny on wednesday night and to maryland for the first day of the superstreet tour. there I met up with the other approx 500 cars and we headed out. Straight into the heart of Hurricane Isabel. I met the ol girl in about richmond VA. IT got really bad on route 85 on the way to greensboro NC. It looked as though someone went down the highway with a hedge trimmer and was just throwing it on the highway. And dodging trees as the fell over right in front of me at 70miles an hour. Needless to say by the time I got out of her this is what I found. My rear bumper ripped off and broken, My front buper broken in three places, My fendres tented, gouges in my paint, my headlight covers gone and 3 out of four rims destroyed (clear coat gone, bent, scuffed.) Needless to say I didnt place at nopi in fact my car looks so fucked up I shouldnt have even showed it. The good news is that the ol girl made it all the way to georgia with 205000 miles and made it back and stilll purrin. ITs gonna be a shame to pull her out this month.. The body work really pisses me off but its ok seeing as how it is all getting redone this winter but still a shame just the same...
