I just purchased a new Toyota here in Florida where I live. Can I purchase the Toyota Platinum Extended Warranty outside Florida and use it in Florida without a problem? I have read many threads and get conflicting information in regards to the laws in the State of Florida. I had read that it had to be purchased in Florida. Does anyone know anything about this? Thanks!

I work at an extended warranty company in Missouri and we sell extended warranties in Florida. Florida does have strict laws one of which being there is basically no haggling over the price what we pitch is it. Other warranties we can offer discounts for retirement stuff like that. They are trying to protect the retirees down there. As far as having to buy the extended warranty in FL to use in Fl it shouldn't be that way but you can probably get a better deal if you get it there. Ours are substantially cheaper like i'm talking a grand off. I hope this helps.
