Mirror Replacement

I have a 03 Camry and need to replace the passanger side mirror. Any help on how to remove the old one would be much appreciated. I downloaded the shop manuals but could not find the correct pdf. Thanks in advance.

I have never replaced one on a generation 5, but they are all pretty similar. You remove the black triangular piece inside the door. It should just pull off with moderate finger pressure. That will expose 2 or 3 screws and an electrical connector. Remove the screws and unplug the electrical connector and the mirror should just come right off.

I haven't looked at that area on a Gen 5, but on Gen 4 & 6, the procedure that Mike described is appropriate so it should apply on Gen 5 also.

There should be no need to pry that triangular piece with anything. Just grab it with your hand and pull. It's usually held on with 2 or 3 clips.
