Better acceleration

my '93 wagon seems to have real good acceleration compared to most of my friend's camrys, all of which are newer and sedans. is there a reason for mine having more pick-up? note: all camrys tested against are automatics, and include:

mine: '93 camry wagon
'96 v6 camry xle
'97 camry le
'99 camry le
'01 camry ce
'01 camry le

Couple of things come to mind: Weight and gear ratios. Like My Gen 2 sux azz off the line, but on the interstate rollin at 70 I can get more top end power to beat my friends 86 RX-7.

Weight would have a lil to do with acceleration, but depends on how much weight difference there is.

Engine size also has a big role. Not too familiar with Non-Gen2 Camrys engine, but are all those LEs I4s? Cuz if those are all I4 and u got a V6, u shud have better acceleration.
