Post Camry Transmission

I had asked this question earlier and may be I wasn't very clear.
I would like to know when you change the transmission fluid on a 95 camry how many qts do add after the fluid has drained out. The book say 4.7qts for a drain and refill. It seems to be too much. Can any you guys tell me how many qts you add when you drain the transmission.
Thanks!

Zoni's info sounds right. 4.9 qts sound like manual transmission specs to me.

From 1996 Toyota Camry Factory Service Manual:

2.2L 4CYL
Drain and fill = 2.6 Qts
Dry-fill = 5.9 Qts

3.0L V6
Drain and fill = 3.7 Qts
Dry- fill = 7.1 Qts

Drain bolt torque = 36 Ft. Lbs.
Pan bolt torque = 43 In. Lbs.
Strainer bolt torque = 89 In. Lbs. for 4CYL, 97 In. Lbs. for V6

If your car has never had a trans flush, it may be a good idea to do it soon. See my recent post for procedure.

Peace.

Owner's manual do not mention anything about flushes. When you drain and refill your only replacing about 3/8ths of the fluid. The rest of the old fluid stays in the torque converter and cooler. So, flushing will replace all the fluid. I recommend a flush every 4 years or 60k miles.
