camry 91 V6 LE transmission info required

Hi
I am new to TN , i have 91 v6 camry with 146 k , US model, sometimes a light pops in transmission display area as "NORM" , does any one has any info about this light and its function .Since it does not comes often or with out any special driving shift .

The transmission has two shift pattern modes, NORM and PWR. The PWR mode moves the shift points up a little higher.

There should be a push button switch on the side of the shift console to select the pattern desired. When in the PWR mode the PWR light is on. From the wiring diagram the NORM mode also has a light. Not sure why it acts this way.

Yeah, just look for the button beside your parking brake lever that says "ECT". Push it to switch between better fuel economy (NORM) and quicker acceleration (PWR) by virtue of much higher shift points.
