Which Lexus wheels will fit my 08 Camry?

Total Camry newb here. Sorry in advance as I am sure this has already been asked.

I just bought a 08 Camry LE with the 4cyl for my wife last Saturday. After getting on here and seeing how nice these look with the Lexus wheels, I am going to have to get some. Anyway, I see a lot of people putting them on the V6 SE versions, and I wanted to be sure which wheels will fit on my 4cyl LE. I don't understand all the wheel terminology (offset, +51 etc) and I want to keep the same ride it has now. I really don't want to change shocks, or lower it or anything. Not even sure what size my stock steel wheels and tires are. We may just try to find the wheels for cheap and hold onto them until we wear down these stock tires (or maybe try to get the local tire guy to take these tires in as trades).

PS I ASS-U-ME that we have a Gen 6?

Also, what does De-badging consist of? Is it just heating the emblems and peeling them off? I have a friend that owns a body/paint business so I could get him to do it for free. He also does tinting, so I am getting Limo tint on Friday.

Thanks in advance for any info

You just need to find a set with the same bolt pattern and similar offset.

I don't know what you are doing changing suspension if you only want wheels, but that's up to you. If you get larger wheels, the ride will be harsher. Nothing you can do about it.

That's just it, I was saying I don't want to change suspension (I had seen some people putting on different shocks, which in-turn was lowering the car).

As far as putting on larger wheels and the ride getting harsher.....what causes this? If I try to get tires for the larger wheels that end up being the same outside diameter as my originals, would the ride still be harsher? I really like the ride of the Camry now. Maybe I should just look for some 08 Camry SE aluminum wheels.

If it doesn't change my handling to harsh.....I think I prefer the 07' GS 350/430 rims. I see guys posting about adding these to there 06 Camry's. Is the fit the same in an 08 Camry?

You just answered your own question about the harsh ride issue and what causes it...sorta.

Since you keep the outside diameter the same, and you are increasing the diameter of the wheel, the height of the sidewall must become shorter meaning less flex.

Do search dude. There are a lot of people rolling around with Lexus wheels on their Camrys.

Now I get what you are saying as far as a harsher ride. It is due to the low profile tires, not the larger rim size. That makes sense. Wish there was a way to fel the difference before buying new wheels.

I have been searching. Just not sure about a few things....

1. Given I have an 08, I just wasn't sure if it is the same as an 06 Camry SE V6 (I keep using this as an example due to seeing some with these rims on them). Things such as body style, bolt pattern, offset etc. (I think my 08 is the same as a 06). I see the separate forums for different Gen's so I am assuming I have a Gen 6 (though I can't find an explanation of what makes a gen 1-6 or 7), so I am assuming all of the above is the same as an 06?

2. I haven't seen or read about anyone with an 08 LE 4cyl using these wheels. And i don't know if there is a difference between the V6 and 4cl (possibly some suspension issues).

Sorry for all the newb questions, just doesn't appear to be a lot of 08's on here or any 08 LE 4cyl's that I can find.

I did find some helpful info pointing me to Lexus in Roseville for Take-offs, so I will probably buy from there once I have verified these are a good fit.

Your 2008 is not the same as a 2006. The new body style is model year 2007, but it came out in mid or early 2006 as a 2007 model. Pretty much anything that works on a 2007 is going to work on your 2008. As far as wheels go, V6 and I4 are going to be the same. They might have slightly different suspension setups due to the heavier engine, but that has nothing to do with the wheels.

The 2002-6 have slightly different wheel specs: their offset is about 5mm more; so you might need spacers to fit them. Otherwise they bolt right up.
