Alright. I have 4 steel hubcaps that came with my gen 6 camry. I tried searching for a similar thread, but didn't find something along these lines. Anyone with a DIY thread?
Heres why question:
How (if possible) would can I switch my TPMS from my steel rims to (4) different alloy/chrome rims?
Since these will be the same sensors, I realize that I won't have to have them reprogrammed.
By the way, if it matters, I want to swap them to Lexus rims.

Make sure they put they match the TPMS on the side they belong on. For instance, driver's front to driver's front, passenger's rear to passengers rear, etc.
ive been wondering about the TPMS. i plan on gettin some 18x8 konig heatsink wheels. would i need to switch the TPMS to those wheels? or will it be ok without the TPMS?

Well, if you do not put the TPMS sensors into the rims, you will get that annoying light in your dash.
Some people put a piece of tape over it b/c it bothers them. Other people disable the TPMS light (found in one of the DIY threads).
My question was if there was a known process of doing it myself-- besides paying someone $20 for them to do it. One dealership quoted me about $100 to do it

Just like someone else said any tire shop can do it. Its very simple for them.
