Headlights Won't Work-dimmer Switch
My headlights won't come on. I get a buzzing noise from the headlight control relay. It tests okay per the manual. I ended up tracking it down to the dimmer switch and swaped it out with one from an older corolloa. The headlights worked....for about three days. Again, the headlights won't come on and the same buzzing from the headlight control relay.
This time, I pulled the dimmer switch out of a 80's camry. Before I put it in, I want to do some more testing/checking to find the true source of the problem and not just plug in the switch.
From my several trips to the local Pick and Pull (junk yard), I'm surprised by the number of parts that the 80's Toyotas share.
Any idea what the problem could be?? I picked this forum specifically because when I seached, there seem to be some expert Toyota electrical gremlin technicians posting/threading here. I drive an 86 Toy Landcuiser FJ60 and not a Camry so pls don't shun me;-)
