IAC and Coil on Plug question

How does the IAC work? Is it a stepping motor that open according to a frequency? I need to know so I can see if an standalone will work on the V-6 engine.

Also can the Coils be fired dirreclty from the ecu output or does an igniter have to be used?

Anyone have anyput?

yep got it figured out, the ecu sends +12 volts to ISCO to open the valve (below the 750 idle rpm) or it sends +12 volts to ISCC to close the valve (if above 750 rpm) And im pretty sure the coils can be tirgger from the ecu.
