Unhappy Boot Clamps...

I have to replace the driveaxle boots, and while I'm in that area I also need to do the whole 9 with regreasing and all that fun stuff. My question for everyone is with the boot clamps, the Haynes Repair Manual says that you need a special tool to install the new ones, so is that the only way that I can actually install the new ones, or can I actually use something that I have in my toolbox now? Thanks.

You can try and squeeze them together until they clamp shut, but the tool can make life a lot easier. Try calling around local parts stores to see if you can borrow one.

I decided to go ahead and buy one this morning, they were rather cheap, so I figured to go ahead and get one, because I never know when I might need it again. Thanks.
