Question shift points and lack of power

Hi,

I recently purchased a 92 LE v6 w/auto trans and have been experiencing what I believe to be odd behavior.

While driving on the highway around 60mph, if I floor it the car will not accellerate very well from 3000 to 4000 rpm. Once it hits 4000rpm it takes off just fine. I am wondering if this is a case of not downshifting into a low enough gear under WOT. ECT power switch seems to make no difference. Does anyone know the shift points on this trans and at what speed it should down shift into what gear under WOT conditions?

Thanks for any advice you can offer.
