I just finished my grille. This is how I did mine. I cut the middle peice out with a dremel and a hacksaw blade, I found this fiberglass resin jelly made by bondo. it worked out pretty good. It has some flex to it, be I doubt its gunna crack on me anytime soon. I took the grill off to do all of this btw. Now this is where I messed up.....YOU NEED TO TAPE OFF THE HOLES YOU ARE FILLING! I did it without doing that first and caused myself a headache. I ended up using black eletrical tape to tape off the holes on the back, so the bondo has a place to sit and set up. When you start sanding it all down intially try to use like a 80 grit sand paper, then go to a 220, then like a 600. Thats what I did, I still ended up with some little pits in the final bondo work and paint, but I just got lazy. You may want to find some filler in a tube and apply that over the bondo work after its all sanded down to make sure you got a nice clean look, then wet sand it to make sure you got out all the imperfections. *DO NOT PAINT IT UNTIL YOUR SURE EVERYTHING IS PERFECT! If you paint it...and find imperfections....well budy break out the sand paper again. You may want to take your car to a body shop and find out exactly what paint you have, so you can ask for the paint by its name. Also get a clear coat spray paint to put over your paint job, it makes it looks so much better and it will stay looking good! Good luck bro. Its actually not a hard job to do, just make sure you got alot of time to do it.
