Well, my car let me down for the first time today in the year and a half I've had her
I went to start her to drive to a class off campus and all I got was a rapid clicking noise. Tried to jump her with a friends truck but got nothing. The radio and everything still works fine so it's not the battery.
I'm thinking starter but we will see tommorrow when I get her towed to the dealer.
Well, turns out it was the battery
It was weird b/c every other car I have had a battery go out on, everything was completely dead. But my radio and radar detector and everything worked fine on my Cam, it just didn't have enough power to start the car I guess
btw, whoever overengineered this battery holder/bracket is too smart for their own good. It took like 30 min. to replace the damn thing

Maybe YOU'RE too smart for your own good j/k..
surprised it wouldn't start even when your friend jumped it. Not sure if you looked at the battery indicator on the battery itself, but that's one way to tell.

With TEX97's experience. Why wouldnt it start even with someone else helping to jump?
The same problem happened with my dads car. The tow truck guy with the monster alternator and superdiesel couldnt get my dads car to start. My dads car is a v8 i realize it needs more juice to start, but there was a huge truck pumping out all that power and it still wouldnt start.
We all thought that the starter was shot, but it turned out to be the batt.
Does a dead battery absorb the power coming from the other vehicle so the starter doesnt get enough juice?
Strange?

Yeah, I've run into a situation before where a dead battery prevented jumping. It was my old POS mustang though, so one of the many other problems it had could've been contributing
