Ok im gonna be pushing 300hp and i want a good transmission im swaping from a auto so which is the best trans to go into a i4 gen 4 98 camry. I was gonna do the mr2 then i heard the solara/camry v6 is super strong but will it go with the i4 engine? also is the i4 motor just as good? what are there limits.... thanks all.

the mr2 trans should be fine with 300hp, the V6 trans doesn't line up all the bolts, in fact they say only 4 lineup, which is enough, but does the fewer mounting points weaken it? I'm using the mr2 trans in my swap, but my car doesn't weigh near what yours does.
