I don't know why, all of a sudden I have the urge or purchasing the Altezza style light for my 2001 Camry with TRD bodykit. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2437749425
I think it would look good on my silver camry (I wouldn't even consider buying it if I have a different color Camry), what do you guys think?

Ok, now for my personal opinion:
If you are going TRD, I think it would make more sense to get the red w/clear signals.......because in my mind, if Toyota actually did make a Special Edition TRD Camry, it would have the clear turn signals versus altezzas......see what I'm saying?
haha, i never really paid much attention to it..:p
It's all good, I have yet to see a Gen 4 or 4.5 Camry with clear turn signals besides myself.....I just happened to come across these when I bought mine.
the interest thing is that the red/clear corner thing cost as much as a whole set of Altezza-style light, that's why I am reluctant to buy red/clear corner. guess no one likes the altezza style light on a gen4.5 camry then.. doh
now, the 2 clears were the same as the 4 piece altezzas so i got the altezzas and used only the corners..
i was conservative using only the 2 pieces, i didn't like how the all 4 pieces looked on it, and with just 2, it looks like a special addition camry.. haha
here's the shots i took right after installation, with a really bad digital camera
the camera like shifts the light onto certain objects.. it actually looks much better in reality anyway:
this was the whole thing (4 piece) and i admit it looks kinda weird:
and like the clear corners are nice, but.. i mean.. $120 (ebay) for just 2 clear lenses..??? to me, i feel that its not worth it, for such a minor difference that no one will really notice, unless they know the gen4 well

Well I think it's worth the $120.......think about the supply and demand. Most of the import community looks for altezzas.....so more of them are produced........of course those are going to be cheaper. But the euro red/clear signals.......people aren't really going after those, so less are produced, therefore higher price. I can honestly say I am probably the only guy in Houston with the euro red-clear signals....but I've seen some altezzas on Gen 4.5 Camrys around here.
Yeah true some people may not notice, but alot do, especially after they see the projectors in the front......and since my car is still 95% stock....it really does look like a special edition...I have Gen 4.5 people slowing down/speeding up all the time trying to figure out why they never saw that "edition" before, LOL. But everyone is used to Altezzas.......know what I mean?
4 things I considered:
a) I like the luxury look, and I felt for my Camry, the red-euroclear added a luxury look
b) the clear turnsignal matches 100% with my back up light....so it looks OEM
c) Aftermarket taillights need to condensate and fill up with water. This causes a yellowing or smoking effect with Altezzas...plus you can see the water sloshing around. With the red-euroclears, condensation wouldn't show up as much.
d) Euro-clear signals are DOT legal......Altezzas aren't, which is another reason why they are more cheaper....sellers will say they are, but get a dick cop, and he'll find a way to bust you for them.
but thats me........everyones needs are different, but I just wanted to point out why I felt the $120 is worth it.
