New here, tech help needed!

I'm working on a friends car, a 92 Camry with a 2.2. It cranks but won't start. The spark seems weak or intermittent. Is there a way to test the coil or ignition control module? Or possibly a way to flash out any trouble codes? Basic stuff is OK. Cap/rotor/wires/plugs are all new. I can smell fuel when I crank it so I think the fuel pressure is OK but I couldn't find a Schrader valve to see if there was pressure at the rail. Is there one there? He just had a local garage do the timing belt 'cause "they said" that was the problem, I'm just trying to help him not ge screwed any further.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Jeff

ok, i dug out my haynes manual just so i could get this right

measure resistance between the positive and neg, the 2 that are on that one clip, that's the primary coil, resistance should be 0.4 to 0.55 ohms

check the resistance in the secondary winding, take the coil with the high tension wire (that goes to the distributor cap) on top, and the positive, which is the one on the left if the high tenstion wire is on top

that should between 9.0 and 15.4 Kohms (don't forget to change the scale)

i'll read up on how to check the ignitor
