Headlight adjustment problem

Today I was adjusting my headlights because they point towards the ground and I got them to the right level.

I closed my hood and the stupid weather strips above the headlights on the hood messed them up again, so I ripped off the weatherstrips and went to go adjust my headlights when I noticed the up/down screw isn't doing any good and the lights are pushed inward toward the middle of the road.

So, do you guys think I'm going to have to take the entire front apart to get to the cause of my headlights not being able to be adjusted by the screws? Or should I just try adjusting it with the screws some more?

I already tried the side to side screw on the right headlight but its so tight I couldn't get it to move.

By the way, I have the 96 cam, DX 2.2L 4 cyl 4 door....blah blah blah.....in case that helps anybody with my body style.

I have the same Cam sept mines a 95... I also have the same problem. My pass. side headlight is pushed in a bit on the inside corner. Not sure how it happened but I'll be fixing it this weekend or so. If you can hold out, I'll post my solution shortly after.

Oh yeah, I can definitely hang in there till the weekend up. I was just outside fiddling with it, I popped the pass. side light back into place so that's taken care of.

Now all I need to do is fix the driver side light, I got a temporary solution though, I put a thick twig in between the light and the body to keep up positioned up until you post your findings.

And by the way, thank you very much for helping me out with this.

lol... I was hanging out with YESCA yesterday and I did the samething... it just kinda popped back into place. the track the adjustment screw is on may be stripped, its only plastic, so you may need a new headlight.

yea..they're really easy to break. I had to put little pieces of wood in them to make them point the straight way. But even then I couldn't get it perfect because my passanger headlight is curves into the car too much. So the beam is messed up. Also I bought those aftermarket ones off ebay. Don't get those, they suck. no where near OEM fitment.
