Red face It died!!!!

Well not the entire car but it's battery in my Gen3 did.

What's a good battery to get? I ain't got a big amp or anything special just want some good cold cranking amps to fire up the old Camry for the winter.

Gawd damn 9 years and the battery finally goes caput ... that amonst other things... wonder how much $$$ I gonna keep dumping into this thing to keep it operational for the winter

optima yellow in a deep cycle battery good for sounds nd lights. if he is looking for a starting battery he would go with an optima red top. but you know another good site for ranking car batteries is www.consumerreports.com

Yea you're lucky it ONLY died after 9 years.

It's not suppose to last more than 5. :o

Just get Interstate, this dude doesn't have any decent sound system to use a Yellowtop anyway.

The car spent the last 3 years in the US... so hell I think the battery would still work if it weren't so cold!

Anyways I guess i'll go pickup an interstate or Optima...

I'm hoping the exhaust last me through the winter

go to walmart and get the $60 (USD)or so EVERSTART. has like 900 CCA's and is decent and cheap.

or OPtima REDtop if your wanting to spend more.

deepcycle battery isnt needed unless you have a soundsystem and like to listen to it with the car off.

the MTP78DT is an equivilent to the 24, but has both side and top posts, nice for hooking the car to one set, the stereo wires to the other, takes a load off the terminals

Get a Diehard from Sears at Don Mills and Steeles for like $100. 850 CCA, can't go wrong. I haven't had any problems with mine for years.

I guess pops knew he was giving me damaged goods

Anyways I've been starting the car with the Emergency pack the past week (recharge every 2-3 days) but I think this boroness has gotta stop

The MTP78DT is a 1000ca battery, and in the USA you can dial 1-800-crank-it and they'll tell you where the nearest dealer is to you, dunno about canada though.
