Just wondering if any Aussie Gen 5 Camry owners here have problem with their Camry ? I have read lots of threads on US made Gen 5 Camry and was surprise to know that they are having rattling problems etc.

isn't the us made ones the same as the aussie made ones, just with the steering wheel on the other side of the car????

Aussie Gen 5 Camrys are different from the US made ones. US made ones has electronic throttle control, 5 speed for V6, different brakes and suspension. seats, tires, etc

V6 has the 5 speed here in the US since the new engine

I meant 5 speed automatic not manual

AU: 5 sp. manual 3.0L V6
US: 5 sp. auto 3.3L V6 (SE), (LE & XLE gets 3.0)

Sportivo,

For me, my Gen5's sunroof rattles. There is a thumping noise from the trunk region that is most likely the fibre cover sitting on top of the spare tire with tools mounted to it. I have to go in for warranty but I've been so lazy...been 2 years now...

Btw, mine is built in Japan.
