Unhappy RIP door handle

Well today after school I walk out to my car, go to open the door and pop! off goes the driver side front door handle
I'm surprised this happened.. and a little disappointed.. but I still have all of my respect for my trusty camry, I mean only a window and door handle? thats not too bad for 10 years old i guess... but anyway... i have a dark green camry and I was wondering if anyone had a place with door handles that matched the original camry colors... otherwise i guess i'll have to get quotes from the dealer and some other shops RIP door handle... i wish you weren't made of plastic

BTW it cracked so i can't reattach it if anyone was wondering

i feel ya bro, the inside door handle of my cam broke off about a week or so ago...man, i'm too lazy to get it replaced

junkyard would be easier than dealership...better chance of getting a color match too, unless you kept your car garaged for all these years

You think a couple of weeks is bad? Mine broke off about a year and a half ago! I still haven't gotten it fixed yet!

Yep...front driver's side I have a system to open my door as quick as it would be w/ a handle! LOL...now that's sad...

you can get door handles way cheaper from ebay, then with the money u save, u can buy some color matching spray paint and paint it before you put it on.

That happened on my gen3.... TWICE... I bought some primer, color match paint (dark emerald pearl, aka dark green), and clear coat from Autozone. My dad painted it, then i took the car home and we replaced them.... pain in the azz to do that with the annoying screw holes... Anyway, my door handle was $28 off Ebay. The paint was $12 for all 3 cans. Good luck.

It is a pain replacing the door handle, first you gotta go through hell to get the door panel off, then you gotta try and figure out how to put the new handle in, because you wasn't paying attention when you took the old one off..

I take it you drive a Generation 3 thats from either '92, or '93? I know all the Generation 1, and 2's have the chrome handles.

That sucks man. Good luck finding the replacement. Worst comes to worst... Just get the shaved door handle kits from eBay or something, and never use a door handle again!!!
