It will be impossible to get blue with regular bulbs... you should use LEDs instead if you want blue.

Just tonight I found bulb covers in blue, green, and red at Meijers (may be midwest-only chain). Made by HyperWhiteness or something like that. Various sizes, dunno how well they work. But yeah, for a couple bucks iit's worth it to find out.

You can get 194/168 super white LED's for like <$2 US$ each there. Watch the 4 LED cluster-type 194 bulbs, I have 4 on my front end, and all have died in <6 mo. The single ones work well.

Just my 2 cents.

thanks a lot ken! that is crazy those guys are located in st. louis where i live- never even heard of them before- plus since LED'S are so cheap- i can order a bunch of diffrent types to test out- thanks again
nate
aparently the dude said the 194 bulbs should last like 3300 hours of 33000 i forget which he said, but that translates into like like 140- 1400 days of straight use!

hey....those LEDs would look pretty nice in the dash. I've been thinking of finding covers for my bulbs, change to a colour other than that ugly factory green, but ran into the same problems as Tubbyc (I'm in T.O.)

CamryKen...when you say the single bulbs work best, are you refering to the "BA9S miniature bayonet base" ones, right? I would love to buy a few...I wanna make mine either white or red. It's a shame they are in St. Louis...ohhh the cost of shipping!!

oh...one more thing...anyone know how many bulbs there are in a Gen3 cluster/instrument panel?
