As far as the hard surfaces (i.e. dash, console) Im spray painting, much like I would the tail lights. Using light coats, and drying between each session. Probably 3-4 coats. As for dying Im going to a custom shop to have it done, with a Quality and Color Guarentee. (sp?) I am interested to see what the others have to say about it, I would like to do it myself.

Sorry if this isnt that much help, just my two cents.

I would like to see what people have to say about this as well. I am repainting my car and need to repaint my tan interior into blue/white. Any suggestions ?!?

I would be VERY careful with the spray paint...

My friend tried that and he even applied several coats...Let's just say it didn't turn out too good.

I would definitely know what your doing before you dive in.

i spray painted the dash of my old car years ago. turned out pretty good.

be careful when you do spray paint. prep work takes some time (cleaning, taping, primering). you need to apply in several light layers to prevent bubbling and dripping.

although it looked alright. it looks like what it is.... paint. to get the real OEM look you should go the vinyl route. you'll notice which areas are painted even more with your seats re-vinyled and your dash painted.

oh yeah... remember to wear a respirator. not just those white paper masks that cover your mouth, but the ones with the actual filter elements that you can change. i was sick for a week from too much fumes.
