I was wondering which version of Erebuni's Shogun kit is the most durable? Swift Motorsports has it dirt cheap and Onehotcamry says it didn't fit up well and already has cracks in it. Is there any version of this kit that is made of polyurethane? At least the front bumper? I also don't like the rear bumper style, does anyone on this board have a different aftermarket rear bumper? Please post pics if you do. All help is appreciated!
My friend has a 93 camry with the ED Type Swift kit. The front bumper looks nice, he hasn't had any problems with it.
Body shop made 2 cuts on both side of the front bumper so that it would fit better...other than that...i've heard good stuff about that one.
What I have noticed with these copy kits is the quality itself. But this is just one testimonial I have noticed so it may not be the actual case, but hear me out first and tell me what you think.
I've compared two civic kits (friends). One had the copy blackwidow and the other had the actual ground design blackwidow. While we all drove to a park somewhat 10 miles away I began to notice and compare each of their kits along the way there. The copy kit tends to flop around at around freeway speeds of around 45mph+ (no more than 75mph) while the real ground design BW stood sturdy the whole way. The pieces I noticed that flopped around on the copy kit were the side edges of the front and rear bumper but I didnt notice any movement of the sides skirts (cuz obviously they are not taking as much wind resistance as the front and rear bumpers). But what I am thinking is that this flopping around due to these copy kits, will lead to the paint cracking as I see on most cars with aftermarket bumpers and imperfections along the body that have big gaps and such. Could this be the case?
Im debating on this issue to myself for a while on getting one for my car but I want to see what others' experiences have been first.
Well, my friends kit has been on for almost a year now, and no signs of cracking or peeling paint. No "flapping" around on freeway or at freeway speeds. He did get it professionally installed........
...maybe your friend with the copy kit didn't? let me know, this is interesting.
Guys, I will say it once and I'll say it again, DON'T GET THE COPIES!
Save up a couple hundred dollars more, and get the real EREBUNI kit, I swear you will not be disapointed.

i would consider getting a copy kit, throwing it on, molding it in, then once its all said and done, reinforce it with more fiberglass on the inside of the front bumper cover. that way, its stiffer, and wont flop around with wind.

With the reinforcment of additional fiberglass the cost would be comparable to the real deal from my understandings.
the only thing is that it isn't a couple hundred dollars more, its liek twice the price. You can get the copy kits for about $500-600 shipped. If you go on erebuni's site its a lil over $1,000 without shipping. So its a big price difference. I understand your point that the original is much higher quality, but i just think most people can't afford the $1,000+ kit
