Knocking noise?!?

Hey guys...

Whats up?

I need some help, I have a single knock-like/pop 'noise' when I turn the steering wheel to the left... any ideas?

I haven't done any previous work to the steering system so I figured something would be due for replacement by now!

Any ideas of what this noise might be coming from?

could be pretty much anything related to steering/suspension/drive systems

put the front end on jack stands and have a buddy turn the wheel, look around for anything that jarrs

Bah! No body has had something like this happen before? N*E body ever had knocking noise coming from the left side when you turn the wheel to the left??? It seems to be most evident when turning the wheel at extremly low rate of rolling speed. Anybody got an idea? Thanks Oldman, I'll try that tonight... :/

check to see if ur power steering fluid is topped up.

my mechanic told me its the front/rear engine mounts that making knocking sounds.. i ahve the same problem as you. I thought it was cvboot/axle problem but it wasn't.

Bah! I still need to fix my dogbone, I'll fix that asap, and then try to take it from there! Thanks for the great suggestions guys! Anybody else think that they might have a solution to my problem??? Thanks!
