Gen 4 Camry Tire Size

Hi. I was just wondering if anybody here could tell me what size of tire came with the gen 4 Camrys with 14 inch steel wheels? The reason I ask is because I have just bought a 1998 Toyota Camry CE 4cyl and it came with a good set of winter tires. I want to keep them in good condition for next winter and the only other set of 14 inch tires i have are size 195/70R14. I want to compare how far off the size is to the original to estimate weather or not I will have problems with rubbing before I mount them. Any help would be great. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure 195/70-14 is correct size. Look for stickers when the driver door is open. It has the tire size and recommended inflation pressure.

195/70-R14 is the correct tire size for your 98 Camry 4 cylinder. The 6 cylinder cars 97-99 came with 15 inch tires and wheels.

Thanks for the info. I did not know the door sill sticker contained that information. I will check it once I get the car. Picking my new baby up tomorrow and getting the keys.
