I am looking to get tinted- i have a blakc camry with a black interior- i was thinking about diong 15% in the back and like 35 up front and 1/2 the winshield. I don't know though- i am kinda in the same boat that a consistent color looks better all around- since 35 is the limit up front in STL- i might actually go 35-25... i would like to see it before i buy

In Tennessee the limit on car tint is 35% all around and 8" (?) on the windshield. Check out my sig for a link. I've got 35% and wish i'd gotten about 20-25%. No problems seeing at night, just the right amount of extra darkness. I didn't go illegal because I didn't want Johnny Law to hand me the razor blade and a $100+ ticket....

My camry is a gen 3, green with tan interior> I went with 20% bronze all around except front winshield, I can see fine> I still don't think it is dark enough, i might even get a coat of mirror tint, maybe 30%, put on.
I don't know how it is where you guys are from, but the cops down in New Orleans don't give a f@@@ about your tint. The only time they'll bring up tint is if you get a ticket for something else, then they'll just tack on your tint so you'll pay extra money.
With 50/38, the tint would probably be visible to someone on the outside, but it won't have no affect on you. People can still see you inside your car and it wont repel the sun, and don't worry about looks because it would be barely visible
i like the 20% b/c its dark at night.. plus.. the sun in the summer time is a bit*h.. i just the tints this summer.. greatest investment i've spent so far.. but i'm still having a little getting used to at night time when i'm backing up .. .hard to see.. if there's no street lights..
