brighter headlights...

hey everyone, i got a 98 camry... is it me or are the headlights really dim. Im using the ones from kragen that are "supposedly" 30% or something brighter... and the stock ones are even dimmer than that. Can someone recommend some solutions to make the headlights shine brighter? thanks for the tips.

Euro Silverstars (no coating). Much brighter than Silverstars sold in America.

Thumbs down

I did that, it was a baddd move.
The little reflector in front of the bulb is now a dark brown from the excessive heat using a standard 9005 bulb.
So this is not really recommened for a Gen 4.5.

Get a heavy duty headlight harness first. You will notice a difference even with the "regular bulbs" because you are getting "more power" to the bulbs. I now have Silverstars after trying some supposedly brighter bulbs that were coated with a bluer tint. The bluer bulbs looked brighter but gave out a lot less usable light when compared next to the Silverstars.

I''ve had mine altered for over a year now, and no problems....

only thing is that the bulbs burn out faster, cuz they're always used at max.....its the same as always having your highbeams on....bulb wasn't really made for that....

but I just use cheapo eurolight hyperwhite bulbs for 20CND a set, so its no biggie....

You went the wrong way... :p Use the bulb without the little cap at the tip.
