Question Darn, stripped SS line, but just slightly

How can I cut the line and reflare it, where to get stuff & what to get?

Will Goodridge help me out with a brand new line that I stripped a couple threads, or can I tap it myself or ???
I don't know if you can easily get a tap for that type of thread.

The problem was that the nut itself flared a bit and I had trouble getting it out and into the SS line. I then forced it into the new line, bad idea.

I was able to put it back into the stock line and get the car on the road. Since it was the last line I now have 3 SS and 1 stock.
Well, at least I have fresh ATE Superblue fluid (first change).

Any help greatly appreciated, thanks a lot!

So which fitting is messed up? The one on the car or the one on the ss brake line?

the line, except it's stripped because the one on the car is too wide at the bottom, it's a bit flared. Musta happened at the factory.

Just cut off the messed up fitting and get another one.

The best thing for you to do is bring the line with you to a place that sells performance plumbing parts (ss lines and AN fittings). They'll be able to match the fitting and tell you what you need.

I'm not sure what kind of fitting is on your ss brake lines, but its probably something like one of the 2 below:

http://www.holley.com/HiOctn/ProdLin...E/6001902.html

http://www.holley.com/HiOctn/ProdLin...HE/640603.html

And about the line on the car being flared. Its suppose to be, thats how it seals.
