Question Help, Throttle feeling diffrent!?!

HELP!

My gas-pedal is feeling like it is kinda hesatating at about half-throttle... I feel this little "sticking" like sensation in the throttle when I am pressing and passing a certian point, and when I release and pass the same point... what the fuck is going on?

I am gonna go look at it more... Man, I feel like such a noob... I took off the breater-tube from the throttle body-to the crank-case today because I was gonna be working on polishing my valve cover... but never got around to it... I ended up replacing the tube, attaching everything, and now I can't figure out whats going on... help me out guys!

Thanks!

Brandon Mendez

I dunno, man. I'd say cleaning the throttle may turn the trick, but that's a guess. Typically it sticks right when you press on it if it's throttle. When you say breather tube, you talking about the PCV valve?

Its more of like a tube... it comes from the throttle body to the side of the crankcase... damn it, I need an engine pic so I can show you it!

LOOK DIRECTLY UNDER THE SPARKPLUG WIRES, closest to the valve cover, you see the black tube going into the crank case... thats what I changed out yesterday...

Any clue what the hell is going on???

Have you tried turning the butterfly valve on the throttle body while looking at it to see if it sticks?

Also check the throttle / cruise control cables to see if their sticking.

Oh, and I forgot to mention the tube you speak of is the crankcase breather. The vaccum in the manifold prevents over pressurizing the crankcase.

Yeah, I know that! :P Couln't find anything hanging in the cruise control... it didn't seem as bad today... but I can still feel a slight "hanging-sensation" when I get on the gas...

Whats going on guys???

did you check the pedal itself?

maybe its hittin something......check inside the car, your problem could be there to then.

also check the whole throttle cable.....starting inside the car with the pedal.

I had a prob similar to this and it wound up that I just needed to clean the throttle body.

Once that was done the gas pedal stopped sticking and everything responded fine.
